I currently live in New Mexico with my boyfriend and beautiful daughter in The Retro Palace. I'm currently a student double-majoring in Cosmetology and Architectural Drafting. I spend what little free time I have knitting, crocheting, sewing, and almost any other project I have time for. I do occasionally eat and shower, but only if there is no knitting to be done.

Alive and... Royalty?

Hey! I know you guys missed me, because I missed all of you. Seriously. Our trip was fantastic. The whole holiday time was fantastic, actually. I really do love the holidays! I have all kinds of pictures and plans to share my year in review and all the Christmas knitting and all that jazz, but for now, I'm just checking in to say hello and let you all know that I'm still here, even if I am really busy (and still not unpacked, I might add). I am going to try and blog lots more this year, so you have that to look forward to! For now, I have some more cleaning (ah, who am I kidding? I finally have time to knit something for ME!) so I'm going to leave you with this. Have a good day!

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.
